On February 7, 2013, SunPort organized a one-day workshop at the Paks NPP in Hungary for presenting RPC Radiy’s technical solutions to modernizing I&C systems and switchgear systems in operating NPPs. The meeting was attended by 60 participants from the nuclear power plant and its technical support organizations.
Presentations were delivered with the following titles:
- Radiy’s I&C platform built on Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Technology; Its Applications in Operating NPPs
- Radiy’s Switchgear Equipment (RTZO) and Electrical Distribution Cabinets (EDC); Reference Projects in NPPs
- Modernization projects of switchgear equipment; Radiy’s experience in NPP installations
- Use of pre-assembled pre-tested systems; Possible strategies at the Paks NPP
Presentations were followed by technical discussions and a walkdown in the I&C and switchgear rooms of Units 2 and 3.
